WHAT'S HAPPENING WEDNESDAYS: March 12-19

SULTANS OF SCIENCE
Date: March 7 - June 7th
Where: Ontario Science Centre, 770 Don Mills Rd.
What: Sultans of Science: 1000 Years of Science Rediscovered highlights the multicultural roots of modern science and technology and the Golden Age of Islamic science. This marks the second run of this special exhibit at the Science Centre in the past five years, except this time it has been expanded and improved!

"GENERATIONS OF QUEER" EXHIBIT OPENING
Date: Wednesday, March 12
Time: 6:30PM-10:00PM
Where: OCAD U, 230 Richmond Street West (Exhibit) AND OCAD U Auditorium, 100 McCaul St., Rm. 190 (Panel)
What: “Generations of Queer is an exhibition centred on storytelling, creating a dialogue between the works of two senior artists and two younger artists who have come into queer discourses as beneficiaries of the activism of their predecessors.” Opening event includes a panel discussion with the artists followed by a reception. Exhibit runs March 12 - June 28.

"ALL BY MYSELFIE" EXHIBT OPENING
Date: Thursday, March 13
Time: 7:00-11:00PM
Where: OCAD U Student Gallery, 52 McCaul St. 
What: An art exhibit that considers selfie culture. Topical! In a moment of serendipity I met one of the (very friendly) artists featured in this exhibit after deciding to include the event in this week’s post! She promised that the opening would be fun. They hired a DJ!

ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
Date: Sunday, March 16
Time: Starts at Noon
Where: Starts at Bloor and St. George
What: Twas' the day before St. Patrick's and everyone went to the parade... that's all I got. Word on the street is that some of your fellow classmates from MUSSA are going to hit up the parade together. See below for parade route!
