"REMEMBERING OVILU TUNNILLIE, RCA" EXHIBITION OPENING
Date: September 25th
Where: Museum of Inuit Art, 207 Queen’s Quay West
What: This exhibition commemorates the passing of widely-acclaimed artist Ovilu Tunnillie. The exhibition will explore her style and contributions to contemporary Inuit art by showcasing examples of her work from the museum's own permanent collection.

ROMwalk: THE GRANGE
Date: September 28th
When: 2 - 4 pm
Where: Meet at Dundas & McCaul Street (SW corner); TTC access via St. Patrick Station
What: Perfect for students who are new to Toronto! Learn about how the Grange developed from a private, colonial park property to a neighbourhood of immigrants, workers, and professionals with social concerns. Note: Look for the purple ROMwalks umbrella!

HERITAGE TORONTO: BICYCLE TOUR OF TORONTO ISLAND
Date: September 28th
When: 2 - 4 pm
Where: Start/Finish points provided upon registration
What: If you enjoy biking, take this chance to tour and explore the historical, architectural, and natural features of Toronto Island. Led by historian Sally Gibson, author of More than an Island. Note: Participants must pay their own fare for the ferry to the Island.

"TIFF FOCUS" EXHIBITION CLOSING
Date: September 30th
Where: Casa Loma, 1 Austin Terrace
What: Take this final chance to explore the photographic work of Tom Sandler, who has been photographing high-profile individuals and events at the Toronto International Film Festival for over 15 years.

  1. Thank you for the info on the ROMwalk at the Grange, Jennifer. As a newcomer to the city, I went on a ROMwalk in Yorkville two weeks ago and it was very well done - I highly recommend it. Everyone should try to go on at least one! Great overview of relevant T.O. museum happenings.

  2. Agreed! And even if you have been in TO for a long time, taking a walking tour adds a layer of history over the everyday knowledge of the city. Not to mention that this is perfect weather for walking tours! And thank you, Jennifer, for the reminder about Casa Loma exhibition!
