II. Mining the Archive: Photography, Modernity, and the Status of Puerto Rico in the 1940s by Laura Katzman

This event is part of the Museum Studies Colloquia Series, hosted by the Faculty of Information. Dr. Katzman’s lecture will examine a critical yet neglected post-World War II photographic project set up by the Office of Information for Puerto Rico (OIPR), which existed within the U.S.-appointed governor’s office. This event is perfect for those interested in the complex relationship between the U.S. and Puerto Rico at this time, and promises to include some fascinating photographs! For more information click here.

WHEN: Wednesday, 7 October, 2:30 to 4:30 pm
WHERE: Room 728, 140 St. George Street
COST: free!
