WHAT’S HAPPENING WEDNESDAY

Welcome to Wednesday! I hope you can make some time for these events in between attending Christmas Markets and writing final papers, they will be worthwhile!

1. Museum Studies Reunion and Networking Event

WHERE: Museum of Inuit Art Gallery, 207 Queens Quay West Toronto

WHEN: Thursday, 3 December 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00

COST: $11.20 for students and $16.50 for non-students (tickets)

Hosted by the Faculty of Information Alumni Association, this Museum Studies reunion slash mixer is open to all current MMSt students, alumni of the program, as well as colleagues in the museum field. Tickets include a tour of the Museum of Inuit Art’s brand new exhibit “Abraham Anghik Ruben: Beyond Aurora Borealis,” as well as a drink ticket and complimentary hors d’oeuvres.

2. Roving iTea and Tech Fund Vision and Ideas Party

WHERE:
BL 728, Bissell Building

WHEN: Wednesday, 25 November from 4:30 to 5:30

COST: Free!

The Tech Fund is exploring options for the future of the student levy and they are looking to iSchool students for ideas. There are a range of ways we could go forward and we want to make sure the Tech Fund continues to closely support the learning needs of MI and MMst students. brainstorm Winter Workshops and ideas for the future of the Tech Fund.

3. Yad Vashem’s Breakthroughs in Accessing Holocaust Documentation

WHERE:
Innis Townhall, 2 Sussex Avenue, Toronto

WHEN: Wednesday, 2 December from 6:30 to 8:00 pm

COST: Free! (RSVP required)

IP Sharp Lecture Presents: Dr. Haim Gertner is Director, Archives Division and Fred Hillman Chair of Holocaust Documentation, Yad Vashem, Israel which is the world center for documentation, research, education and commemoration of the Holocaust. Join us for a dynamic and insightful conversation about one of the most significant intergenerational and international initiatives of our time.
